Nathan Lavertue is the Global Experience Design Director for IBM iX.

Nathan combines several years of digital product development with the National Hockey League with a decade of experience in digital and social marketing. Having a background in architecture and electronic arts has influenced the way he approaches design. Nathan promotes a holistic design philosophy blending experienced design sensibilities with a strong technical comprehension and explores ways to expand the limits of technology and enhance the user experience.

His accolades include several Cannes Lions and CLIO Awards and the Facebook Studio Award during his tenure at a variety of companies including 360i, DigitasLBI, and Sony Music Entertainment. Several of these were awarded for his work on the OREO Daily Twist campaign which included the well known OREO Pride image.

Nathan is a member of The Art Directors Club/One Club, American Institute of Graphics Arts, D&AD, and InVision Design Leadership Forum. He lives in Stanfordville, NY with his wife and rescue dog.

    • Director of Digital Design — Oversaw design and user experience for all NHL products including GameCenter LIVE, All Star Fan Vote, Bracket Challenge, among others. Creative lead for the tablet and mobile platforms such as, the official NHL app and mobile web, as well as “connected devices” such as Xbox, PlayStation, Apple TV and Roku platforms. Creative lead and provide design direction for Editorial and NHL Social content.

    • Art Director — Led team of designers, video animators, and copywriters on digital marketing campaigns as well as providing direction to the evolution of the site.
